Emmy Award-Winning Producer • Director • Entertainment Executive
I’m an Emmy Award-winning producer and director specializing in cinematic concert films, television and streaming specials, documentaries, comedy, Broadway, fashion, and large-scale live entertainment.
For more than 25 years, I have brought together creative vision, technical innovation, and disciplined production leadership to transform live performances and ambitious ideas into compelling entertainment for global audiences.
I work closely with artists, managers, networks, streaming platforms, production companies, venues, and rights holders—from a project’s earliest creative stages through final delivery. My experience encompasses concept development, budgeting, financing, rights acquisition, business affairs, production design, multi-camera direction, post-production, licensing, and theatrical, television, streaming, and international distribution.
Recently, I produced Billy Joel: The 100th—Live at Madison Square Garden for CBS and Paramount+. The landmark concert special reached more than 18 million viewers through its CBS broadcasts and earned three Emmy Awards for Technical Direction/Camerawork, Lighting Design, and Audio Mix.
Through Enliven Entertainment, I built a full-service production company dedicated to premium concert films, live television and streaming events, documentaries, comedy specials, Broadway productions, fashion shows, festivals, and archival entertainment.
My production work has involved an extraordinary range of artists, including Billy Joel, Beyoncé, The Eagles, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, The Who, The Doobie Brothers, Jeff Beck, Romeo Santos, Travis Scott, Sabrina Carpenter, Machine Gun Kelly, Shawn Mendes, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, The Lumineers, John Mellencamp, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Evanescence, Stone Temple Pilots, Jane’s Addiction, and The B-52s.
Beyond music, I have produced stand-up and comedy programming featuring Martin Lawrence, Katt Williams, Mo’Nique, Bruce Bruce, and The Comedy Get Down, along with Ralph Lauren fashion productions, Cartier holiday specials, Broadway performances, and special events at Carnegie Hall.
My approach begins with the artist and the story. Every production needs to have its own visual language rather than feel like a standardized television capture. I collaborate with artists and their creative teams to understand the emotion, personality, and intention behind a performance, then design a cinematic production that brings those qualities to the screen.
I lead creative and technical teams of more than 100 professionals across film, television, and live entertainment. Depending on the project, those teams may encompass camera, lighting, audio, staging, engineering, production management, editorial, visual effects, color, sound mixing, and distribution. My responsibility is to keep every department aligned around a singular creative vision while managing the financial, technical, contractual, and logistical demands of a major production.
I have helped advance live-event filmmaking from early high-definition production to cinematic multi-camera 4K and 8K capture, HDR, immersive audio, 360-degree video, and virtual reality. I believe technology should always serve the performance—not distract from it.
My documentary work combines original interviews, rare performance footage, archival research, restoration, and cultural context to reveal the human stories behind artists and their music.
I also work with artists and estates to locate, evaluate, preserve, restore, clear, and monetize historic audio and film archives. These relationships have included Rolling Stones founder and producer Andrew Loog Oldham, Billy Joel, The Doobie Brothers, the John Denver Estate, Black Sabbath, the Ronnie James Dio Estate, Cheap Trick, and Farm Aid.
Early in my career, I recognized the commercial potential of the legendary King Biscuit Flower Hour radio archive and acquired more than 650 historic live concert recordings spanning three decades. I created innovative strategies to resolve the complex artist, label, publishing, union, and intellectual-property rights surrounding these performances.
Through restoration, licensing, and CD distribution in partnership with BMG, we transformed the King Biscuit archive into one of the most valuable live-music catalogs of its era.
I later served as Senior Vice President of Paradigm Music, where I expanded the company’s archival and catalog division through innovative licensing and worldwide distribution strategies.
At MCY Music World, one of the pioneering first-generation digital music companies, I negotiated record-label rights for online music distribution before helping reposition the company around Internet pay-per-view concert broadcasts. Those early broadcasts featured Paul McCartney, The Who, Pete Townshend, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Ozzfest, and Sammy Hagar.
What distinguishes my skills is the ability to move comfortably between the creative and business sides of entertainment. I understand how to protect an artist’s identity while managing the financial, technical, contractual, and logistical demands of a major production.
Whether I am developing a concert film, documentary, television special, live event, comedy production, archival project, or new entertainment venture, my goal is always the same: create something visually powerful, emotionally authentic, and commercially meaningful.
